Bergen County Economic Development Corporation to hold
Corporate Brokers Breakfast Open Forum  

The head of the New Jersey Commerce and Economic Growth Commission will join BCEDC President Beth R. Gorin in addressing the state’s most influential corporate brokers.

The Bergen County Economic Development Corporation (BCEDC) will host Keynote Speaker Virginia S. Bauer, CEO and Secretary Designate of the New Jersey Commerce and Economic Growth Commission, at its Corporate Brokers Breakfast Open Forum, Thursday, December 9 from 8:30 – 10:00 a.m., at 461 From Road, Paramus, NJ 07652 (the former Toys “R” Us building).

Many Bergen County Mayors and representatives from local Chambers of commerce will be attending, as well as Caren Franzini, CEO of the New Jersey Economic Development Authoity.

 

Virginia S. Bauer

Ms. Bauer will be sharing her expertise on cooperative marketing initiatives, international trade efforts and business retention and relocation. "I am delighted to have the opportunity to be the Keynote Speaker at the BCEDC Brokers Forum," said Bauer. "The Commerce and Economic Growth Commission exists to promote business, economic expansion and tourism. It is so essential to our mission to work closely with brokers in order to help businesses realize their potential."

Virginia S. Bauer was appointed CEO and Secretary of the New Jersey Commerce and Economic Growth Commission on July 16, 2004. She works closely with the State Treasurer, Commissioner of Labor, New Jersey Economic Development Authority, Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and the BCEDC.

Women of Power: Freeholder Chairperson Valerie-Vanieri Huttle, Caren Franzini, CEO of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, and Keynote Speaker Virginia S. Bauer, CEO and Secretary of the New Jersey Commerce and Economic Growth Commission,  join BCEDC President Beth R. Gorin at the well-attended 2004 Broker's Breakfast Open Forum.

“Bauer is the state's lead advocate for business — from strengthening New Jersey’s business attraction and retention programs to managing the Urban Enterprise Zone Program, from maintaining the Garden State's standing in the global marketplace to promoting the state as a premier vacation destination. This makes her a perfect partner for the BCEDC,” said BCEDC President Beth R. Gorin.

The BCEDC continues to reach out to segments of the business community that can help attract, retain and expand business within Bergen County. “Progress is key in Bergen County and the BCEDC is dedicated to building strong ties with state agencies. It is this commitment that continues to bring new business to the county,” said Bergen County Executive Dennis McNerney.
